When you combine quality content with a unique location, you have two important ingredients that lead to a successful event.. and that’s exactly what happened!
During the first roundtable of the year, Elision hosted their guests at an old water tower that, after its retirement, serves as a meeting area with stunning views. Located in the shadow of Brussels Airport, the constant spectacle of airplanes landing and taking off surely adds up to overall experience.
And just like that, the first ingredient was a fact.
After welcoming the guests, the audience took place in the salon to learn about actual trends for digital excellence, which was brought by Ian Stuyver, managing partner at Elision.
During his presentation, Ian shared his experiences regarding channel conflict, self-service, innovation through efficiency, and many more. “What we often see is the trade-off between internal process optimization versus customer experience”, he said. “It’s about servicing your customers as best as possible, which often requires a change of mindset for traditional businesses.”
Next on stage was Stijn Hoegaerts, IT director at Van Marcke. During his presentation, Stijn translated some of the earlier discussed trends into concrete actions. For example, how to enable your own employees to adopt new digital channels and evangelize this towards key customers. Since the early day, Van Marcke aims to assist their customers as best as possible, and offers a wide range of additional services such as operational and financial support.
As for the audience, the event seemed more successful. “It gets even more interesting to see other companies having similar digital challenges, and to discuss how they are dealing with them.”, one of the attendees said.
We are already looking forward to the next event, where we will bring together customers who can learn something from each other’s challenges.
