With the increasing importance of customer experience in the B2B market, Maiburg felt they had to change. The old online store and order form no longer met Maiburg’s or, crucially, their customers’ needs.

Previously, the time to market for new products could be up to three months, and this really needed to change.

The main goals for the new e-commerce platform were to:

  • Transform to a futureproof B2B e-commerce platform
  • Increase online sales revenue
  • Provide online availability of Maiburg’s entire product range
  • Increase efficiency through end-to-end automation of the order process

Working with Elision, we developed a whole new online store based on SAP Commerce, and thanks to Elision’s advanced B2B Accelerator, it happened very quickly! Now our customers can find all the product information they need on 35,000 products at maiburg.nl.

By integrating SAP Commerce with the SAP ERP system, Elision was able to automate Maiburg’s order process. This integration brings more transparency and efficiency to the order process, not only for Maiburg but also for their customers. Besides customers now having greater insight into their account and orders, they also now have a bigger window to order their next-day deliveries. By automating the process, Maiburg pushed back their next-day delivery order deadline by two hours!

By using the B2B Accelerator for the SAP Commerce implementation, Elision was able to implement the new platform in just four months. And the Accelerator wasn’t only a quick way to implement SAP Commerce, it has also given Maiburg a head start with a range of other B2B functionalities.
